Senior Helpers of Worcester invites you to be a part of our "Dear Senior Valentine’s Day Card Drive." Our goal is to present over 500 cards to the seniors at Worcester area Senior Centers.
How Can You Help?

• Craft a heartwarming card or two addressed to 'Dear Senior'.
• Drop off or mail your card(s) by February 9th addressed to 'Dear Senior' using the following address:

Senior Helpers Valentine's Day Drive:
 
 According to the U.S. Surgeon General, there is a loneliness and isolation epidemic in our country.
Roughly 1 in 3 seniors:
Feel isolated.
Feel a lack of companionship.
Have infrequent social contact.
The physical health consequences of poor or insufficient connection include:
29% increased risk of heart disease
32% increased risk of stroke
50% increased risk of developing dementia for older adults
Lacking social connection increases the risk of premature death by more than 60%.
Senior Helpers has the chance to assist with this and show our seniors some extra love this Valentine's Day!
What better way to create awareness around the effects of loneliness and isolation for seniors than sharing a simple way we can spread the love.
