Before assuming this new role, Andy was the Director of Rail and Transit at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, working to advance passenger rail initiatives to provide better transportation options across the Commonwealth. He is a Massachusetts native with over fifteen years of experience working professionally as a transportation planner. Educated at UMass Amherst, and later Rutgers University’s Bloustein School, Andy has focused his career on advancing safe, equitable multimodal transportation with a primary concentration on commuter rail and intercity rail planning.
